Economic
growth rapid characterized by the growth of new industries which create many
opportunities for male and female labor force. Most of the jobs in the company
at a low level of organization that does not require special skills that give
more employment opportunities for women. Economic demands that urgent, opportunities
reduced and income in agriculture which does not give an exact result and
routine, and the opportunity to work in industry has given a strong appeal for
women workers. Every person has a different thoughts about women.
The
phenomenon that occurs now is when a woman has started to over their existence
with doing a work and start to forget the important things in a woman’s goal of life,
that is to educate their children well. This is happen because of the role of
women increased in many ways through of globalization and human rights. This is
commonly referred to as the emancipation of women, which aims to obtain and
maintain equality of political, economic, social, and have the same opportunities
as men, both in their studies at school benches to the universities, both
public and private, in public areas or religion.
Concrete
results that can be observed from the study is printed in a number of scholars
from universities, both women and men with the skills and competencies that are
not much different. And because of the increasing quantity of women workers so
that competition for jobs is getting crowded. Participation of women in the
economy can also be seen from their involvement in the banking sector, credit,
capital, stock, and various other financial fields.Women not only as a wife and
mother to do housework alone as before, but now women are more active role in
the community and economic development of a country. Women should be strong,
have an extensive knowledge and unwavering principles.
Women in the development
Women have
occupied strategic and importance positions in the development process now and
in the future. This position should be involved in development policy in order
to run the role and benefits that go hand in hand. The policy which is less
precise (under-estimation) against them produce nothing more than exploitation,
they bear more burden than benefit that the whole people enjoyed. If the later
condition occurs, the people will be pessimistic about future generations and the
next descendants.
The fact is that
the number of women is more than half of the world’s population. Ironically,
even if the amount exceeds men, women are the most suffer and injustice often
gets in every aspect of life, such as: health, socio-economic, education, and
law. We did not receive any arguments with all forms of injustice and
discrimination. Moreover, the practice of harassment, disparagement and abuse
the rights of vulnerable groups for women. In fact we have to eliminate, if
necessary, make the effort pro justicia to anyone who tried to violate the
rights and dignity of degrading women.
Government Role to Woman’s Rights
Government
plays an active role in protecting and safeguarding the rights of economic,
social and cultural than women. With so necessary regulations that support in
taking measures to ensure women in the enjoyment of fundamental rights and
freedoms in the political, social, economic and cultural basis of equality with
men. Not just limited to mere regulations, but there should be strict law
enforcement measures and the implementation of a sustainable and consistent
with the rule of law itself should be strengthened.
Although the
country has ratified certain rules and have devised a constitution that
guarantees no discrimination against women and to protect women from acts of
gender-based violence, the protection of women is not going to work if it is
not supported by the implementation of a genuine all parties related. The law
enforcement and government officials must carry out the laws and regulations
that have been made in accordance with the rules, actively promote equality of
the women rights creating programs that support and can increase women's
equality, be it in education, health, politics and employment, disseminate
appeals to people more aware of gender, and eliminate traditional practices
that are considered to discriminate against women.
Cooperation
with the civil society organizations will also be very useful in building
awareness of gender and women's rights. More particularly, this should be
supported by the community. If public are aware of equal rights for women, they
can eliminate the stigma that the position of women as inferior to men. And
people began to abandon the tradition or culture that supports the stigma
above.
